Delegate Guide: How to Navigate the Day

Welcome to the ZDA UK Spring Scientific Meeting 2026. To help you make the most of the day, here is what to expect:

Arrival

  • Arrival from 11:00 AM is strongly encouraged to allow enough time for parking, registration, refreshments, and networking.

  • Registration opens at 12:00 PM, with the programme starting promptly thereafter.

Scientific Sessions

  • The programme includes 4 themed scientific sessions covering digital health, therapeutics, clinical practice, leadership, and health systems strengthening.

  • Scientific presentations will run across 2 breakout rooms during oral presentation sessions.

  • Please check the programme carefully and attend your preferred sessions.

Breakout Rooms & Panel Discussions

  • Following each breakout session, delegates from both breakout rooms will reconvene in the Main Hall for panel discussions.

  • This means all attendees in Breakout Room 2 should move to join Breakout Room 1 for the panel.

  • 5 minutes is allocated for movement between rooms, so please move briskly to help us stay on schedule and maximise discussion time.

A little bonus: you will definitely get your steps in for the day — so feel free to count them 😊

Poster Viewing, Exhibitions & Networking

Dedicated breaks are built into the programme for:

  • Poster presentations

  • Sponsor and exhibition stands

  • Refreshments and networking

Please use break times to:

  • View posters

  • Visit exhibitors

  • Connect with fellow delegates and speakers

Comfort During the Day

  • Wear comfortable footwear, as movement between rooms and stairs will be required throughout the day.

  • Stay hydrated throughout the programme. Tea, water, and other drinks will be provided, but bringing an extra bottle is encouraged.

Families & Children

  • Child-friendly arrangements are available for delegates attending with children.

  • Children will be supervised by designated child minders during the event.

Black Tie Dinner

  • Dinner begins promptly at 6:00 PM.

  • As this is a Black Tie Event, delegates may wish to bring evening attire.

  • A short transition period will be available before dinner for those changing outfits.

Networking & Collaboration

This event is designed not only for learning, but for building connections across the Zimbabwean healthcare diaspora and partners. Please take every opportunity to:

  • Meet speakers and delegates

  • Exchange contacts

  • Explore collaboration opportunities

We look forward to welcoming you for a day of science, collaboration, movement, and celebration.
